Project Overview

UNDERGROUND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR MIAMI'S BALLPARK

Central Civil performed the complete underground utility package for Marlins Park and adjacent properties in Miami under a $6.6 million contract with Hunt/Moss Joint Venture. The utility scope included drainage, water, sanitary sewer, and fire line systems for the entire stadium footprint and surrounding site.

In addition to underground utilities, Central Civil reconstructed approximately 4 miles of 2- to 3-lane roadway in the stadium district, including earthwork, soil contamination remediation, paving, curbing and walks, striping, and signage. Soil contamination remediation was a significant component across the former industrial site underlying much of the stadium precinct.

The Florida Marlins Ballpark — now loanDepot Park — is a landmark addition to Miami's professional sports infrastructure, and Central Civil's underground and roadway scope was foundational to the entire development.
