Project Overview
WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITY UPGRADE
Central Civil performed civil site improvements for the complete upgrade of the South Dade Wastewater Treatment Plant under an $8.1 million contract. The scope included structural excavation and earthwork, storm drainage and culvert installation, water and sewer system work, asphalt paving, and curbing and walks throughout the facility.
The South Dade WWTP serves as a critical component of Miami-Dade County's wastewater treatment infrastructure for the southern portion of the county. Central Civil's site work supported the facility's operational upgrade while construction was coordinated to maintain treatment plant operations.
Work spanned multiple treatment facility zones (S-829, S-825, S-816, S-805), requiring careful sequencing and coordination with plant operations staff to deliver improvements without disruption to wastewater processing.
