Project Overview
CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE AT THE MIAMI INTERMODAL CENTER
Central Civil performed civil site work and underground utility construction for the MIC GMP 6-C Central Station project at the Miami Intermodal Center under a $5.4 million subcontract with Turner Construction. The scope included building pad construction, underground utility systems, parking lot paving, roadway construction, curbing, walks, and site signage.
The Miami Intermodal Center is one of the most complex transportation hub projects in South Florida's history, connecting MIA with regional transit, rental car, and intercity transportation systems. Central Civil's work on GMP 6-C contributed to the civil infrastructure supporting the Central Station component of the larger MIC development.
The project required coordination across multiple active construction zones and transportation systems, reflecting the complexity of delivering civil work within an operating intermodal environment.
