Project Overview
SITE PREPARATION FOR FLL EXPANSION
Central Civil performed site preparation and NAVAIDS infrastructure installation at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in support of the broader runway expansion program at FLL. The scope included underground duct bank installation for power, communications, and airfield lighting systems in support of navigational aid infrastructure.
Work was coordinated directly with active airside operations, requiring strict compliance with FAA safety requirements and continuous maintenance of airfield traffic flow. Contaminated soil management and stormwater pollution prevention were enforced throughout the project site.
This project was executed as a component of FLL's multi-phase expansion initiative, reinforcing Central Civil's role as a foundational civil contractor across the airport's long-term capital program.
