Project Overview
CAMPUS CIVIL INFRASTRUCTURE AT FLORIDA INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY
Central Civil performed civil site work and underground utility construction for the FIU Parking Garage 5 & 6 project at Florida International University under a $3.5 million subcontract with Turner & Fachina Construction. The scope included building pad construction, underground utilities, parking lot paving, roadway construction, curbing, walks, and site signage.
Work was executed over an extended seven-year program (October 2008 – December 2015), coordinated with active FIU campus operations and the ongoing development of the university's west campus. The scale and duration of the engagement reflects Central Civil's ability to sustain long-term institutional relationships on complex university infrastructure programs.
The Parking Garage 5 & 6 project is part of FIU's broader campus expansion, supporting the university's growth as one of South Florida's largest public institutions.
